Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) & Overnight in Arusha

Arrival:
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) (morning or afternoon). Clear customs and immigration, then meet your driver/guide at the airport. Transfer to Arusha (approximately 1.5 hours by road) and check-in to your hotel or lodge.

Afternoon:
Rest and relax after your flight.
Optional: Explore Arusha Town for a short visit to places like the Cultural Heritage Centre or the Maasai Market for some local crafts and souvenirs.

Evening:
Enjoy a welcome dinner at your accommodation. Overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 2

Safari to Serengeti – Overnight in Serengeti

Morning:
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up for your journey to Serengeti National Park. You can opt for either a scenic road transfer (approximately 6-7 hours) or a flight (about 1 hour) to Serengeti.

Afternoon:
Arrive at Serengeti and check in to your lodge or camp. Settle in before heading out for your first afternoon game drive in Serengeti. The Serengeti is home to the world-famous wildebeest migration, along with a variety of wildlife such as lions, leopards, and elephants.

Evening:
Return to your lodge for dinner and rest. Overnight stay in Serengeti.

Day 3

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Morning:
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive. Serengeti offers a variety of ecosystems, and your guide will take you to areas

like Seronera (Central Serengeti) known for high wildlife densities.

Afternoon:
Return to your lodge for lunch or enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.In the afternoon, continue with your game drive exploring new areas of Serengeti. If it's migration season (June to October), head towards the Western Corridor to observe the herds of wildebeest and zebras.

Evening:
Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation. o Overnight stay in Serengeti.

Day 4

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Morning:
After an early breakfast, head out for another game drivein Serengeti. Today, you might want to explore the Ndutu area (if it's calving season, typically January to March) or venture to the Grumeti River where you can spot crocodiles and hippos.

Afternoon:
Lunch will be at your lodge or as a packed lunch in the park. Continue with an afternoon game drive to discover more of Serengeti's diverse wildlife, including big cats, giraffes, and more.

Evening:
Return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay in Serengeti.

Day 5

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Morning:
Another early morning departure for a game drive in a different part of Serengeti. Your guide might focus on spotting predators, such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, or visit other areas where large herds of buffalo and zebras roam.

Afternoon:
Enjoy lunch at your lodge or a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by Serengeti’s wilderness. Continue your afternoon game drive, possibly heading to the EasternSerengeti to see different landscapes and wildlife.

Evening:
Head back to your lodge for dinner. o Overnight stay in Serengeti.

Day 6

Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu

Morning:
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater (approximately a 4-hour drive). Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, descend into the crater floor for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards.

Afternoon:
Have a picnic lunch in the crater or return to the crater's rim for lunch. o Continue your game drive, focusing on areas like Lake Magadi, where you may spot flamingos and other birds.

Late Afternoon:
After ascending from the crater, drive to Karatu (about 30 minutes), where you'll check into your accommodation for the night.

Evening:

Dinner and overnight stay in Karatu.

Day 7

Game Drive in Tarangire – Overnight in Arusha

Morning:
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by road). Upon arrival, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire, a park renowned for its large elephant herds and the iconic baobab trees.

Afternoon:
Have a packed lunch in the park or return to your lodge for a meal. o Continue with your afternoon game drive exploring different areas, such as the Tarangire River, where wildlife congregates during the dry season.

Evening:
Check in to your accommodation in Arusha for dinner. Overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 8

Departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Morning:
After breakfast, depart for Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), which is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from Arusha.

Afternoon:

If time permits, stop in Arusha for a final coffee or souvenir shopping. Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight.
